If your Access to Work grant is coming up for renewal, you might be feeling unsure about what happens next. Even if your needs haven’t changed, renewals often reassess your needs, and you may worry about losing or having your support reduced.
This consultation gives you a calm space to understand what the renewal process will look like, how to prepare for conversations with your case manager, and how to communicate your needs clearly so you can approach your renewal with confidence.
The ‘Support Worker Record of Tasks’ form (also known as SWROT) determines how many hours of support worker help Access to Work will award you.
Did you know that by default, the number of hours you can have a support worker for is capped at 20% of your own weekly work hours?
Do you know how to extend that to 100%?
ATW is quite flexible in many ways, but you really have to know exactly what to tell them when you’re trying to get more than just a few hours of support worker help a week.
I will consult with you on the details that will make all the difference to you and complete the ‘Support Worker Record of Tasks’ form.
Please note the turnaround time for completing the SWROT is up to 1 week, which factors in a meeting with you where we discuss your support needs and decide on the approach we’ll take with the form, making sure you have a realistic idea of your possible outcomes.
